Medical Courier / Data Entry Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Courier / Data Entry Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting medical specimens safely and efficiently while ensuring accurate data entry and documentation within our systems. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both fieldwork and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior courier or delivery experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain accuracy and professionalism when handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Drive personal vehicle to collect medical specimens from designated locations and transport them back to our lab in Colorado Springs in a timely manner.
  • Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Enter and update specimen and patient information in internal systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure all data and documentation are complete and follow up on any missing information.
  • Assist the urine drug monitoring department with data entry and screening support as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns during specimen collections.
  • Follow all safety protocols while driving and handling materials, including adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability before each trip.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Experience with data entry in a medical, laboratory, or administrative setting is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while following established procedures and protocols.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems or laboratory information systems is a plus.
  • Ability to lift specimen containers (up to 20 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading supplies.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
