Full Job Description Overview:

I Ship Medical Logistics is seeking reliable and professional Medical Courier Drivers to join our growing team.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, ideal for individuals who are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Drivers will be responsible for the secure and timely transport of medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and critical healthcare materials between facilities.

Position Details:

• Independent Contractor (1099)
• Route-based work (consistent daily routes once assigned)
• Flexible scheduling (routes may include early morning, daytime, or overnight shifts)
• Weekly pay

Compensation:

$150 – $300+ per day (based on route volume and efficiency)

Weekly earnings potential: $800 – $1,500+

Earnings vary based on:

• number of stops
• route distance
• efficiency

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, pharmaceuticals, and documents
• Follow strict chain-of-custody procedures
• Ensure all items are handled with care and delivered on time
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
• Use mobile apps for routing, tracking, and communication
• Perform basic vehicle checks before routes
• Communicate any delays or issues promptly
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with medical staff and facilities

Compliance Requirements:

Drivers must be willing to complete required training, including:

• HIPAA (patient privacy)
• Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)
• OSHA safety training

Training may be provided through our system and required prior to starting routes

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable personal vehicle (fuel-efficient preferred; EVs welcome)
• Smartphone with GPS capability
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Prior delivery or courier experience preferred (not required)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs (occasionally more with assistance)
• Ability to drive for extended periods
• Ability to load/unload packages safely

Work Environment:

• Combination of indoor and outdoor work
• Driving in various weather conditions
• Exposure to medical environments (labs, clinics, hospitals)
