JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a reliable Medical Courier Driver to service scheduled delivery routes for a government healthcare contract in the White City, Oregon area.
This position involves the transport of medical materials between healthcare facilities, including lab specimens and pharmacy items. Timeliness, professionalism, and consistency are critical.
This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity with consistent, recurring routes.
LOCATION
White City, OR and surrounding areas (Southern Oregon VA system)
SCHEDULE
- Monday – Friday (some flexibility depending on route)
- Scheduled daily routes (fixed pickup/drop-off times)
- Consistent, ongoing work
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick up and deliver medical items between facilities
- Follow strict delivery schedules and protocols
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with healthcare staff
- Ensure safe and secure handling of all transported materials
- Communicate any delays or issues immediately
REQUIREMENTS
- Reliable vehicle (SUV, van, or similar preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to follow structured routes and timelines
- Strong reliability and communication

Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to pick up and deliver medical supplies, specimens, and equipment across designated routes in
- Load and unload shipments carefully using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule while maintaining the integrity of sensitive medical items
- Verify delivery details with recipients, obtain signatures or electronic confirmations, and document all transactions thoroughly
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after each shift to ensure optimal operation
- Navigate efficiently using route driving skills to meet tight deadlines while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch or clients regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues during routes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in warehouse logistics with familiarity in commercial driving environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with moving shipments safely and efficiently
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
