About the role

IZY Global Services provides courier services for U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers. We're hiring reliable, professional drivers to transport laboratory specimens, blood products, pharmacy medications, and related medical materials between VA facilities and community clinics on scheduled daily routes and on-call STAT trips.

This is safety-sensitive work that supports veteran patient care. Specimens are time- and temperature-critical, so dependability and attention to detail matter as much as driving.

What you'll do

• Run assigned daily pickup-and-delivery routes between VA medical centers, clinics, and partner labs, on schedule
• Transport temperature-controlled specimens, blood components, medications, and supplies safely and securely
• Perform one-for-one cooler exchanges — leave a clean, ready cooler at each stop
• Maintain temperature monitoring and real-time tracking for refrigerated items
• Respond to STAT (urgent) requests within required time windows, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
• Load and unload items up to 75 lbs using a hand truck as needed
• Follow HIPAA, DOT, and OSHA requirements for handling medical and biohazardous materials
• Keep accurate delivery logs and report any delays or incidents promptly

What you need

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• At least 1 year of driving experience (courier, delivery, or route experience preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and to enter/exit the vehicle frequently throughout the shift
• Reliability, punctuality, and professional conduct in a healthcare setting
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain access to federal/VA facilities
• Comfort driving in all weather conditions (winter driving in VT/NH/MA/CT/RI)
• Smartphone proficiency for tracking and route apps

Schedule

Full-time, primarily Monday–Friday daytime routes, with rotating on-call coverage for STAT and weekend/holiday service. Company vehicle, fuel, coolers, and equipment provided.

Pay & benefits

• Competitive hourly wage set under the Service Contract Act: $22.50–$25.50/hour depending on work location
