Medical Courier Floater

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, alternating schedule, 40 hours per week.

We are hiring (1) candidate for a full-time Medical Courier Floater position, starting and ending at our headquarters in Tarrytown, NY. Floater responsibilities include the coverage of varying driving routes, including (2) walking messenger routes in Manhattan, NY via public transportation. A flexible, on-call availability is required for this role.

Position Summary:
Couriers are our front-line representatives to our clients. They are responsible for pickup and delivery of medical specimens from clients along a specific route. Their professionalism, courtesy, and customer service skills along with excellent driving ability are essential to our ability to service our clients every day.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive and walk to medical offices in varying weather conditions
• Safely transport lab specimens, medical records, supplies and related material in a timely manner
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior when applicable
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction
• Additional miscellaneous tasks may be assigned by Logistics Manager

Minimum Qualifications

• A valid driver's license
• 4 years of professional driving experience
• Successfully pass MVR and background check.
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have a reliable vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Relevant industry experience
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of driving, standing, walking
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, climb stairwells
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
