We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Medical Data Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities

 

  • Collect, process, and perform statistical analyses of complex healthcare data.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data by performing regular quality assurance checks.
  • Develop and maintain databases, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques to provide ongoing reports.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Cleanse and validate data to ensure it is error-free and fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Adhere strictly to data privacy and confidentiality regulations and organisational policies.

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience working as a Data Specialist or Data Analyst, preferably within a medical or healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL, etc.).
  • Proficiency in statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
  • A degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics is highly regarded.
  • A strong understanding of data governance and quality control principles.
