Medical Delivery Driver

About the Role

Galleria Medical Pharmacy is hiring a reliable, professional Medical Delivery Driver to deliver refrigerated and frozen prescriptions to patients across Louisiana's major cities. You'll pick up the company van at our Metairie pharmacy each morning, complete your route, and return the van to the pharmacy at the end of your shift. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver who knows Louisiana well and takes pride in providing excellent, discreet patient service.

What You'll Do

- Safely transport and deliver refrigerated and frozen medications to patients across Louisiana's major cities

- Pick up the company van at Galleria Medical Pharmacy each morning and return it at the end of your shift

- Maintain proper cold-chain handling and temperature control during transit

- Use AI-powered software for route planning, delivery confirmation, and recordkeeping

- Complete delivery documentation, proof of delivery, and chain-of-custody records

- Provide professional, discreet, and friendly service to every patient

- Perform basic daily inspections of the company van and report any issues

- Adhere to all HIPAA, pharmacy, and DOT regulations

Requirements

- Valid Louisiana driver's license

- Spotless driving record — no violations

- Must be 21 years or older

- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

- Minimum 2-3 years of professional driving experience

- Strong knowledge of Louisiana geography, especially major cities (New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Shreveport, etc.)

- Comfortable navigating Louisiana weather conditions

- Proficient with AI software and quick to learn new platforms

- Skilled with GPS and route optimization apps

- Smartphone proficiency for digital delivery confirmations

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and load/unload deliveries throughout the day

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

- Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy

- Willingness to complete cold-chain and pharmaceutical handling training

Preferred

- Prior experience in medical courier, pharmacy delivery, or healthcare logistics

- Familiarity with cold-chain logistics for temperature-sensitive medications

- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French)

- CPR/First Aid certification

Schedule

- Full-time, in-person

- Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
