Medical Device Sales Representative

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly connected and results-driven Medical Device Sales Representative to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with established relationships among VA Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, and key decision-makers within VA facilities. You will serve as the primary bridge between our innovative medical devices and healthcare providers, with a strong focus on expanding our presence in the Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare system and orthopedic markets.

In this position, you will leverage your network and industry knowledge to educate surgeons and facility leaders on the clinical benefits of our products, conduct effective demonstrations, and build long-term strategic partnerships. Your ability to navigate VA procurement processes and relationships will be critical to driving adoption and achieving sales growth. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to penetrate and grow business within VA facilities, orthopedic practices, and related healthcare accounts.
  • Leverage existing relationships with VA Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, and VA facility contacts to identify opportunities, secure meetings, and drive product evaluations and adoptions.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to the needs of orthopedic and VA surgeons, highlighting clinical advantages and patient outcomes.
  • Build and expand a robust network of key stakeholders, including surgeons, department heads, and procurement personnel within the VA system.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms while successfully navigating VA-specific purchasing processes and compliance requirements.
  • Manage key accounts by providing ongoing clinical support, training, and technical assistance to ensure high satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

Requirements / Experience

  • Proven track record in medical device sales, with strong preference for candidates who have established relationships with VA Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, and/or VA facility decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated success in outside sales with a consistent history of meeting or exceeding sales targets, particularly in orthopedic or hospital/IDN environments.
  • Experience delivering effective product demonstrations and clinical presentations to surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to cultivate and maintain high-level surgeon and facility relationships.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulations, compliance standards (including VA-specific guidelines), and current healthcare industry dynamics.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with market analysis tools and the ability to translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
