Position Summary

Monobind Inc., a global manufacturer of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) reagents and biomaterials, is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Account Manager to manage and grow its strategic customer and distributor relationships across Monobind’s portfolio of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) reagents, immunoassay solutions, and biomaterials. This role focuses on understanding the customer and markets to drive revenue growth through proactive account development, technical and commercial coordination, and customer engagement. Success in this role is defined by sustained account growth, strong distributor alignment, customer satisfaction, and effective execution of strategic commercial initiatives.

Work Location and Benefits

Full time: Onsite in Lake Forest, CA. Travel: Limited to Tradeshows/ Customer Sites. Benefits: Health insurance (fully paid by Monobind), PTO, Profit Sharing Plan (funded by Monobind), Commission Plan.

Main Responsibility

  • Drive Sales among Monobind established global customer base, manage account performance
  • Create campaigns, Build Relationships and tailor market approaches
  • Establish new prospects and accounts, focus on monthly sales and delivery targets with the team
  • Provide customer service and other administrative support at Monobind

Job Duties

  • Review Customer Performance related to items purchased, identifying any gaps, any established sales quotas and coordinating with CEO/ Strategic Marketing for related communications to customer
  • Proactive involvement with accounts to adjust quotas, distributor-status, pricing, product mix
  • Review trends, new and lost business and recommend appropriate actions
  • Respond to incoming sales and info emails related to Monobind products
  • Send General Info/ Customer Applications, or Refer to Existing Exclusive Dealers in Country
  • Establish Prospects/ Customers in NS, Distribution Agreements
  • Engage with Leads in NS, Review Existing do Proactive Outreach, Review Closed Customers or Prospects to see if business may be restarted
  • Establish Sales Estimates in NS (coordinate with Logistics for freight quotes)
  • Assist with incoming Order emails including Entry and Approval as team requires
  • Follow-up on unapproved orders, communicate with customers through NS
  • Prepare detailed Custom Quotes for customers related to kits, reagents or biomaterials
  • Review Pricing (custom) and Gross Margins on accounts, meet with key decision makers to determine any needed adjustments and meet with clients as needed to discuss and forecast purchase volumes and set sales commitments
  • Attend tradeshows or visit customer sites as needed, assist with planning / e-blasts and other related communications
  • Ensure completeness of Customer Agreements, prepare Distribution, Quality and other agreements for customers for review/ digital signature and file in NS and other internal directories
  • Oversee Customer Survey and related reports, correspond with customers based on any negative findings
  • Semi-annual output of New Customer Report, as well as review of review of expired accounts changing status, cold leads and proactive outreach to establish/ resume business
  • Oversee Registration Documents for Customers, work with internal MB regulatory and notary. Store related registration certificates and status in NS
  • Monitor Customer Support emails by coordinating with Logistics Manager, Technical Support and Marketing Head as needed
  • Track customer Technical inquiries with R&D Director to ensure completion/ satisfaction
  • Assist with AR as team requires. Prepare and send statements to customers as requested.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferable in Science or Business
  • Propensity toward scientific products, technologies and terminology (measurement units)
  • Adherence to Quality and Regulatory Standards
  • 5+ years’ experience, including sales and customer service
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products with aptitude toward numbers and basic excel formulas
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel across many areas
  • Excellent project management, leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to self-manage, develop tools for job functions, multi-task and complete projects with minimal supervision
  • Professional, positive demeanor with sound work ethics
  • Motivated, resourceful, self-directed, enthusiastic and attentive to detail
