Responsibilities

• Provide expert medical leadership across all clinical programs, ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, FDA regulations, and NCQA standards.
• Develop, review, and implement clinical policies and procedures aligned with best practices in healthcare management.
• Oversee utilization management processes to optimize patient care pathways and resource allocation.
• Supervise medical staff, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality improvement.
• Ensure accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical records management in compliance with HIPAA privacy rules.
• Lead clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices and support product or service development.
• Collaborate with hospital administration on budgeting, resource planning, and strategic growth initiatives related to clinical services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to guide clinical decision-making effectively.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with active medical licensure.
• Extensive experience in healthcare management within hospital settings or managed care organizations.
• Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in clinical environments.
• Strong knowledge of EMR systems, EHR systems, and medical records management.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations, NCQA standards, HIPAA compliance, and utilization management protocols.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical research, medical development processes, and healthcare policy adherence.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Deep understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for effective oversight of patient care processes.
