Overview

The B12 Store is seeking a licensed physician to serve as our Medical Director, providing clinical oversight for our growing wellness practice located in King of Prussia, PA.

We're looking for a physician who believes in preventative, wellness-focused care and understands the evolving landscape of modern wellness medicine. Our practice offers vitamin injections, IV therapy, GLP-1 weight loss treatments, and is expanding into peptide therapy and additional wellness services.

This is a collaborative, low-time-commitment leadership role focused on clinical oversight rather than day-to-day patient care. The Medical Director will provide guidance, support, and physician oversight while partnering with our team to ensure safe, evidence-informed care and an exceptional client experience.

The position is primarily remote, with occasional communication with the management team and periodic on-site visits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for The B12 Store's wellness services, including vitamin injections, IV therapy, GLP-1 weight loss treatments, peptide therapy, and future wellness offerings.
• Review, approve, and periodically update standing orders, clinical protocols, and treatment guidelines to ensure they reflect current standards of care and applicable regulations.
• Serve as the Medical Director for the practice and provide guidance on clinical matters when needed.
• Provide clinical oversight and collaboration for the Nurse Practitioner managing our GLP-1 weight loss program.
• Serve as a clinical resource by providing guidance on wellness therapies, protocol development, and physician oversight as new services are introduced.
• Be available for occasional consultation regarding client care, clinical questions, or operational matters requiring physician input.
• Support regulatory compliance and help ensure the practice operates in accordance with applicable state laws, professional standards, and best practices.
• Participate in periodic quality assurance reviews and documentation audits, as appropriate.
• Maintain all required licensure and remain in good standing throughout the engagement.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania Physician (MD or DO) license in good standing.
• Board certification is a plus but not required.
• Experience with or a strong working knowledge of vitamin therapy, IV therapy, GLP-1 weight loss treatments, peptide therapy, functional medicine, concierge medicine, medical aesthetics, or other wellness-focused practice models is strongly preferred.
• Passion for preventative medicine and helping patients optimize their long-term health.
• Strong clinical judgment and collaborative leadership style.
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to occasional clinical questions.

Scheduling Expectations

This is a flexible, contract-based position designed for physician oversight rather than routine patient care.

The Medical Director is not expected to maintain regular office hours or manage day-to-day clinical operations. Instead, the role focuses on providing clinical guidance, reviewing protocols, supporting the Nurse Practitioner and nursing team, and remaining available for physician consultation as needed.

Responsibilities are performed primarily remotely and include periodic availability for:

• Clinical consultation and physician oversight.
• Review of clinical protocols and practice operations.
• Collaboration with management and clinical staff.
• Occasional on-site visits, as mutually agreed upon.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and will be discussed based on the physician's experience, availability, and anticipated level of involvement.
