Midway Specialty Care Center (MSCC) is a not-for-profit clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive care for individuals with infectious diseases, including Hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS. Led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Moti Ramgopal, MSCC offers a range of services such as primary and specialty care, behavioral health services, gynecological care, and nutritional support. As a designated PrEP provider site, MSCC focuses on helping individuals remain HIV-negative. The organization is committed to the 90/90/90 goal set forth by the World Health Organization to reduce HIV transmission and improve patient health through innovative treatments and clinical trials. MSCC prioritizes dignity and total well-being in its patient-centered approach to care.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Medical Doctor role located in Fort Pierce, FL. The Medical Doctor will provide comprehensive Inpatient Infectious Diease consultation at local hospitals including diagnosis, treatment, and management of infectious diseases, while working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, prescribing treatments, and collaborating with other clinicians to enhance patient wellness. Additionally, the Medical Doctor may engage in clinical research opportunities and support efforts to achieve the organization’s 90/90/90 initiative.

Qualifications

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and educate patients
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida
  • Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases
  • Commitment to upholding the mission and values of MSCC
