Job Summary
Edge Medical Spa in Murray, UT is seeking a licensed Medical Doctor (MD) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to serve as our Medical Director. In this role, you will provide medical oversight, chart review, and protocol approval for our team of aesthetic providers. This is a part-time, flexible position with opportunities to perform procedures such as injectables and wellness services. The ideal candidate is a physician with a passion for aesthetics, wellness, and patient care who values collaboration in a modern medical spa environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Medical Director for Edge Medical Spa, providing oversight of aesthetic and wellness services.
- Perform aesthetic medical treatments such as injectables (Botox, dermal fillers), laser procedures, and other advanced aesthetic services.
- Review and approve treatment protocols, standing orders, and charts.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including Utah Medical Board requirements.
- Conduct patient consultations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners, RNs, and aestheticians to support safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in aesthetics and wellness.
- Participate in staff education, training, and professional development when needed.
Experience
- Medical Doctor (MD) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Active, unrestricted Utah medical license in good standing.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty (Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine preferred).
- Prior experience in medical aesthetics (injectables, laser treatments, skin rejuvenation, wellness services) strongly preferred.
- Strong patient care and communication skills with an emphasis on safety, professionalism, and client satisfaction.
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers and aesthetic staff.
- DEA certification (preferred but not required).
- Commitment to staying current on new technologies, techniques, and best practices in medical aesthetics.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
