Medical Driver - Full & Part Time
Specific Responsibilities:
- Will exemplify the “Service with Heart” attitude that is expected of all employees.
- Responsible for ensuring no confidential information is discussed or shared unless it is in the course of conducting valid Agency business.
- Responsible for conducting work in conformance with Agency’s policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Provide transportation services as scheduled. Service may include delivery of meals, early morning, and evening service to be responsive to customers' needs.
- Obtain daily Manifest Schedule for medical, senior center and other appointments from scheduling.
- Verify with customers by telephone the date and times of appointments and pick up.
- Assist customers on and off vehicles and to and from homes/destinations.
- Promptly report transportation problems to the Transportation Department.
- Maintain vehicle in a neat and clean condition, complete and submit appropriate paper work to Transportation Department when vehicle is due for service or needs maintenance.
- Accurately complete customer master forms, attendance reports and other forms within required time frame.
- Refer customers for other services when appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma, or GED, or demonstrated ability
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
- Safe Driving Record.
- Must meet the Agency’s general requirements
