This position has a 4 day work schedule with three days off per week.
We are looking for a dependable and compassionate person to deliver and set up medical equipment in local nursing facilities, and patient homes. Responsibilities:
- Honoring and complying with company's policies and all regulatory requirements
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport equipment to patients
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure packaging
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or documentation
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns. Safely load, secure, and deliver medical equipment in a company provided van to customers. Retrieves equipment from customer locations, safely transporting the equipment back to the office.
Instructing customers, in a courteous way, the of operation of equipment at the time of delivery and informing them on the features and functionality of the equipment
Troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with local roads and routes is a plus
- Ability to operate various types of delivery vehicles, cargo vans
- Experience with medical equipment is preferred but not necessary
Skills:
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Strong time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job lifting 80lbs.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and documentation
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers in a professional manner
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical, MVR background and Radom drug screening. Must maintain a clean driving record.
