Job Summary:
Concho Hearts DME is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Equipment Delivery Driver / DME Technician to join our team in Temple, Texas.
This position is responsible for delivering, setting up, maintaining, and providing patient education for durable medical equipment in patients' homes and healthcare facilities.
This role includes local deliveries and equipment setup, including hospital beds, oxygen equipment, CPAP/BiPAP machines, wheelchairs, and mobility equipment.
The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with healthcare safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver, set up, and retrieve durable medical equipment, including hospital beds, oxygen equipment, wheelchairs, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and mobility aids

Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff on the safe and proper use of medical equipment

Inspect, clean, disinfect, and perform routine maintenance on equipment

Troubleshoot basic equipment issues or coordinate repairs when necessary

Maintain accurate delivery records, service logs, and patient documentation

Follow infection control procedures and safety standards when handling medical equipment

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, company policies, and industry standards

Assist with warehouse organization, equipment tracking, and inventory management

Provide professional and compassionate service to patients and healthcare partners
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in DME, medical equipment delivery, medical field service, or healthcare support

Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record

Ability to lift and move equipment 50 - 100 lbs (with assistance when needed)

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Basic computer and documentation skills

Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and maneuver medical equipment 50 - 100 lbs

Ability to load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle

Ability to bend, kneel, and climb stairs when delivering equipment

Ability to safely enter patient homes and healthcare facilities
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with oxygen equipment, CPAP/BiPAP setup, or respiratory devices

Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare compliance standards

Experience working in home health, hospice, hospital supply, or medical equipment companies
