Medical Equipment Delivery Technician

Wiregrass Home Medical Equipment is seeking a self-motivated Medical Equipment Delivery Driver for our distribution area in the following Alabama counties: Houston, Dale, Coffee, Pike . This is a Full-Time position. Based on business needs on-call scheduling after hours will be required. This individual will be responsible for the distribution and delivery of medical equipment to patients in the geographic area covered by Wiregrass HME. Customer service is our Number One priority! It is preferred that the candidate selected live within the distribution area listed. CDL IS NOT REQUIRED.

Minimum Job Qualifications: Education - High School Diploma. Some college experience or technical school experience preferred.

Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years previous delivery driver experience
• Experience with medical equipment deliveries is a plus
• Proficient in operation and understanding of computers
• Strong work ethic
• Valid, active Driver's License with clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Ability to load and unload heavy items up to 75 lbs
• Clean Appearance
• Excellent Customer service skills
• Must be familiar with local and surrounding areas and be able to read maps and follow directions
• Clearly read and write in English
• Rotates on-call availability, including nights & weekends

Essential Functions

• Complete deliveries, retrievals and paperwork completely and in a timely manner
• Interact with customers professionally to enhance company credibility.
• Ensure company vehicles are properly maintained according to manufacturer's specifications.
• Assists in light equipment maintenance and cleaning

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
