Job Summary and Qualifications

Reporting to different Laboratory Section Heads, this position is responsible for performing waived and moderate complexity tests, except for those moderate complexity tests requiring microscopy, or in the specialty of immunohematology. Performs venipuncture and skin puncture; orders and restocks supplies; monitors computer orders; answers phone; greets patients, visitors, and employees; and performs other related diagnostic and clerical duties as needed.

What qualifications you will need:

• Valid California license as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Completion of State of California education and training requirements for licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician
• Possession of a Valid California license as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• At least 1 year experience in laboratory testing is preferred.
• Must be familiar with laboratory operations, terminology, clerical duties, and ability to work with computers as applicable to job performance. Ability to work as a team player and yet work independently.
• Prefer typing and data entry skills. Ability to prioritize Stat, ASAP, and Routine work.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English
