Medical Lab Technician

Shift: Full Time 10:30am - 7pm shift, Monday through Friday

Busy and fast-paced internal medicine laboratory looking for experienced medical laboratory technologist. The medical lab tech conducts routine laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, and immunology for use in patient diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Job Duties:

• Maintain quality results by adhering to lab policies pertaining to performance of daily QC, calibrations, and maintenance
• Perform various weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc maintenance when needed on all analyzers
• Analyze and report test results while prioritizing workload in accordance with SOPs
• Perform work with detailed documentation and good analytical skills
• Maintain compliance with lab policies for personal protective equipment and IT security

Qualifications

• 1+ years of direct experience in a medical lab
• Medical lab degree a plus with associate degree or higher in medical lab science
• Experience and proficiency in hematology slide review
• Ability to multitask, stay focused, with attention to detail
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, including using various lab user guides, help books and manuals when necessary
• Computer skills: ability to use and quickly learn laboratory information system software
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-motivated while working effectively as a team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
