Medical Lab Technician (Mohs / Histotechnician)- Vacaville, CA

This is an entry level Mohs Technician position with Travel Tech Mohs Services, Inc. You can check us out at www.gotmohs.com.

Employees are trained in a specialized field of histology to work specifically performing slides for Mohs micrographic surgery. We provide a mobile lab service to dermatological surgeons all throughout Northern California. Employees will travel from their home (with a company provided truck and lab equipment) to the job site and back home when the job is complete.

Our main office is located in Vacaville, CA but we are looking to hire someone from Vacaville to Western Sacramento region to service our clients in that area.

Job Requirements:

• An AS or BS degree in the sciences or equivalent science coursework.**
• Valid driver's license, copy of driving record from the DMV complete with DMV seal.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Punctuality required.
• Professionalism required.
• Ability to function in team and independently.
• Hep B vaccination and valid titer, TB testing, consent for background checks, finger printing, and drug testing.

**Candidates without an AS or BS in the sciences will be considered for an interview if they meet either of the following requirements (A or B):

A: Completed 60 hours of semester units from an accredited institution that includes either

-1: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or (like a nursing degree of some kind)

or

-2: 24 semester hours of science courses made up of six semester hours of chemistry, six semester hours of biology, and twelve semester hours of chemistry, biology, and med lab technology courses.

B: Completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES, the CAHEA, or other organization approved by HHS.--ie a histotechnician or histotechnologist program.

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
