We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our accredited hospital team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of routine and specialized diagnostic tests with precision, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety to support patient care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely clinical laboratory tests in areas such as Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, and Immunology.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Adhere to strict Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) protocols in accordance with international standards (e.g., ISO 15189).
- Prepare reagents, standards, and controls as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Analyze test results, validate data, and generate clear, accurate patient reports.
- Ensure proper specimen handling, identification, and storage.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with biohazard and infection control policies.
- Participate in internal and external proficiency testing programs.
- Train and supervise junior lab staff as required.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all laboratory activities.
Mandatory Requirements
- A valid and current Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) practicing license.
- Pre-Employment Medical Fitness Certificate: Must include clearances for HIV, Hepatitis B & C, Tuberculosis (Chest X-ray), and Blood Group from a government-approved facility.
- Passport valid for at least two more years.
- Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia and work according to the assigned schedule.
