Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Device Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic Medical Laboratory team. Duties

• Collect and process specimens through venipuncture, blood sampling, and other collection techniques while maintaining strict aseptic procedures
• Perform laboratory assays including ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), PCR (polymerase chain reaction), flow cytometry, immunoassays, and RNA extraction to analyze biological samples
• Isolate DNA and RNA from various specimen types for research or diagnostic purposes
• Manage laboratory data accurately using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and ensure proper documentation of all test results
• Conduct routine laboratory procedures such as blood banking, specimen processing, and blood typing with attention to detail and safety standards
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure calibration, and adhere to quality control protocols for reliable results
• Support clinical trials by preparing samples, performing assays, and analyzing data to meet study objectives
• Follow established laboratory management practices to maintain a safe, organized, and compliant environment aligned with healthcare regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting with knowledge of laboratory techniques such as PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and blood banking procedures
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs relevant to laboratory testing
• Proficiency in specimen collection methods including venipuncture and phlebotomy with excellent venipuncture skills
• Familiarity with laboratory management systems (LIMS) for data entry, tracking samples, and reporting results
• Ability to perform complex laboratory procedures with precision while maintaining aseptic technique and safety standards
• Excellent data analysis skills with attention to detail for interpreting assay results accurately
• Strong communication skills and documenting findings clearly
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent is highly desirable
