Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of laboratory procedures using established protocols and techniques to analyze biological samples.
• Prepare, process, and analyze specimens such as blood, urine, and tissue samples with precision and attention to detail.
• Perform specimen collection procedures including venipuncture (blood sampling), ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation of test results, specimen tracking, and laboratory records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist with patient care activities by taking vital signs and supporting clinical staff during sample collection or other procedures.
• Apply aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during sample handling and testing processes.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure timely communication of critical results and support overall patient service excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in clinical laboratory settings with knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and blood sampling methods such as venipuncture.
• Hands-on experience with specimen collection, processing, and laboratory instrumentation.
• Knowledge of hospital workflows, patient care practices, and vital signs measurement is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow detailed protocols accurately while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients.
• Certification or licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technician is highly desirable; relevant training in phlebotomy or blood sampling is a plus.
