Join Our Clinical Laboratory Team

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT/MLS) to join our laboratory team in Indianapolis. This role is ideal for a technologist who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment and wants to play an important role in delivering accurate diagnostic testing that supports patient care.

This position focuses on laboratory testing, specimen processing, and operation of laboratory instrumentation within a modern clinical laboratory environment.

What You'll Do

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will help ensure the smooth and accurate operation of the laboratory by performing diagnostic testing, maintaining instrumentation, and supporting laboratory quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process and prepare patient specimens for laboratory testing
  • Load, monitor, and unload samples on automated laboratory instruments
  • Perform moderate complexity laboratory testing following established procedures
  • Perform routine instrument startup, calibration, and maintenance
  • Document testing activities and maintain accurate laboratory records
  • Monitor quality control procedures and assist with troubleshooting testing issues
  • Assist with reagent preparation and laboratory supply inventory management
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment
  • Collaborate with laboratory leadership and team members to support efficient workflow
  • Follow all laboratory safety procedures and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related laboratory science field
  • MLT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), AMT certification, or eligibility preferred
  • Experience working in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory environment preferred
  • Experience operating laboratory instrumentation and following testing procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate results
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented laboratory setting

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Must pass a standardized color vision test
  • Strong hand-eye coordination for specimen handling and equipment operation
  • Ability to wear appropriate laboratory PPE for extended periods

Work Environment

  • Clinical laboratory setting
  • Routine exposure to laboratory specimens including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids
  • Compliance with laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements
