Medical Malpractice Intake Paralegal

Medical Malpractice Intake Paralegal needed to be part of a team of physician and attorneys and to assist in interviewing people who have been injured either because of medical malpractice or other accidents. It requires an understanding of medical terminology and medical records while being able to sympathize with and understand the difficult situation callers are often in. We have offices in Bergen and Morris. This position would be resident in Bergen four days per week and one day remote. Nursing or other allied health training and experience is preferred. Salary and benefits are negotiable. Excellent communication skills and computer literacy are required. Assisting in case management and organizing materials for use in trial and depositions as well as tracking liens from Medicare and Medicaid are part of the responsibilities.
