Lakeway Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking an administrative/clinical assistant to work alongside our clinic manager, to provide support to our collaborative team of medical and mental health professionals, and to administer transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to our patients. We are looking for someone who is looking to gain experience in the field, organized, reliable, professional, and a team player. We are looking for an assistant to work Monday through Friday, start time 9:30 am until 5-6 pm.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Answering and fielding patient phone calls
- Responding to patient email messages
- Serving as a patient experience liaison
- Ensuring new patient paperwork is complete and established patients files are updated
- Scheduling appointments via phone or email
- Creating superbills for patient insurance reimbursement
- Assist with office organization and cleanliness
- Staying in frequent communication with our clinical staff
- Establish and maintain filing systems
- Assist the two physicians and 3 therapists in their patient care duties as needed
- Interacting with insurers, legal offices, and other medical facility staff
- Administer neuropsychological testing at an off-site location 1-2 days/week as needed
- Administering TMS therapy, in accordance with all provider-established clinical guidelines and protocols
- Monitoring all aspects of TMS treatments to ensure patient wellbeing and clinical accuracy
- Reviewing and administering psychiatric rating scales (i.e., PHQ-9, QIDS-SR16) to patients
- Identifying and resolving any issues related to patient discomfort during treatment using FDA pre-approved guidance from device manufacturer(s) or applicable medication protocols
- Recording all TMS treatment session notes and documents in EHR
Qualifications:
- 1 years experience in a medical and/or clinical administrative setting preferred
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Must be comfortable communicating with behavioral health patients
- Ability to interact productively and collaboratively with multidisciplinary team
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently
- Responsive to communication from staff to ensure patient care is properly and expeditiously attended upon
- Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records
- Enjoys being around 2 rescue clinic cats and able to assist in caring for them.
