Office Manager – Surgical Associates Of La Jolla

Surgical Associates of La Jolla is a respected surgical practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations and ensure the smooth, efficient, and compliant functioning of our office.

Position Summary

The Office Manager is responsible for managing the administrative and operational functions of the Practice, supervising staff, and maintaining efficient workflow across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient service and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily office operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to practice policies and procedures.
  • Manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records while ensuring full HIPAA compliance.
  • Coordinate physician schedules, meetings, and office events to support optimal workflow.
  • Monitor billing and administrative processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Implement and uphold office protocols that promote a professional and patient-centered environment.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and staff to support effective communication and resolution of issues.

Qualifications

  • Experience in medical office management or healthcare administration preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to manage staff and daily operations in a busy medical environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, insurance verification, and medical record management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
