Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality medical administrative support
- Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, billing processes, and revenue cycle optimization using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing leadership in human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality and security of medical records and patient information
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to streamline practice management activities including utilization management and managed care processes
- Oversee medical records management, ensuring accuracy and timely documentation in EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
- Implement policies aligned with JCAHO standards and other accreditation requirements to uphold quality assurance in the clinic setting
- Monitor clinic supplies, equipment maintenance, and vendor relationships to support optimal operational efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within a clinical setting; experience in dental clinics or hospitals is highly valued
- Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle processes
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare environment
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations including JCAHO standards
- Experience with medical office software applications related to billing, coding (ICD/CPT), and practice management tools
- Familiarity with acute care or hospital environments is advantageous; veterinary or managed care experience can also be relevant depending on the setting
