**Looking for Full Time - HIGH PACED CLINIC**
Full-Time (7:45am - 6:00pm) Looking for flexibility with closing time due to afternoon clinic.
Medical Receptionist/Assistant Job Responsibilities:
Supports healthcare professionals in clerical tasks and other administrative duties; screening and sorting mail, documents, and telephone calls; directing phone calls to the appropriate person; scheduling patient appointments and arranging referrals; billing patients and third-party payers; controlling accounts receivables; preparing medical reports, patient histories, operative notes, manuscripts, and correspondence; maintaining office files and patient records; provides support during clinic and procedures if needed.
Medical Receptionist/Assistant Job Duties:
- Maintains the readiness of the reception area, guest restrooms, and break rooms for each working day at end of each shift
- Opens office at designated time and have all front desk activities fully operational at start of business hours
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area
- Represents healthcare professionals by screening incoming telephone calls; recording and transmitting messages; scheduling, receiving, and announcing scheduled patients and visitors; screening unscheduled patients and visitors
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing support during procedures and clinic
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Keeps office equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Maintains quality results by following and enforcing standards.
- Enter detailed patient data into computer systems
- Manage, process and enter data from detailed paperwork
- Check in patients for appointments
- Bill patients, clients or customers and collect payment
- Generate and prepare reports based on requested data for administrative and patient use
- Ensure that patient records are kept complete and organized
- Maintain communication lines for the department
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform other duties assigned
Medical Receptionist/Assistant and Qualifications:
Scheduling, Telephone Skills, Ability to type minimum of 40 words per minute (wpm), Business Knowledge, Organization, Time Management, Customer Service, Verbal Communication, PC Proficiency, Reporting Skills, Excellent telephone skills and office etiquette, Ability to work well under pressure, Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise, Warm outgoing personality, Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word; Bilingual Preferred
Education Required: Minimum High School Diploma. Associates or Bachelor Degree preferred
