The City of Bangor is pleased to announce a new opening for Medical Provider/Nurse Practitioner, which will provide support for the Bangor Public Health and Community Service Department on a per diem basis.
The Medical Provider delivers comprehensive, community-based clinical services across multiple public health service models, including a local health clinic and Syringe Services Program (SSP). This position operates within a low-barrier, harm reduction, and population health framework, serving individuals at increased risk for infectious diseases and adverse health outcomes due to substance use, housing instability, acute and chronic health conditions, limited healthcare access, and other social determinants of health.
The role is designed to provide flexibility in care delivery settings, allowing the provider to deliver services in fixed clinic locations, community-based environments, and mobile or field-based settings in collaboration with clinic and paramedicine staff and outreach teams. This role will also contribute to the development of clinical workflows and supporting infrastructure. The pay for this position is $60.84 per hour and the schedule will be up to 12 hours per week on a per diem basis.
