Hope Medical Clinic P.A is a medical clinic in Fayetteville, NC. We are looking for a receptionist who is willing and able to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Medical Receptionist Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves patients by greeting and helping them with filling out forms, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
  • Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously, screens calls, transfers caller to correct individual.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
  • Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area.
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and insurance information on the system.
  • Maximizes revenue collection by updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges.
  • Measuring Vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, breathing rate and temperature), Height and Weight.
  • Manage Specialist referrals
  • Call or fax prescriptions to pharmacies
  • Clean and maintain instruments and medical equipment
  • Communicating physician instructions to patients
  • Maintain patient medical records

Qualification

  • Minimum high school Diploma
  • Computer skills is mandatory
  • Microsoft word and Excel skills
  • Good oral communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and staff are essential.

Experience

  • Previous experience in medical office is preferable

Experience:

  • Customer service: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Medical scheduling: 1 year (Required)
  • Computer skills: 1 year (Required)
