Medical Receptionist Job Responsibilities:
Our Medical Receptionists work directly with patients and physicians. Day-to-day duties include collecting patient demographics, front office assisting, scheduling and more.

Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; confirming purpose of visit.

Checks patients in and out of the clinic and verifies that all patient information is accurate and up to date.

Schedules follow-up appointments in person or on the phone, and calls to confirm appointments.

Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records.

Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
