Medical Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Greenway Intergy or eClinicalWorks
  • Collect and process payments, including medical collections and billing using medical coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10) and medical billing procedures
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to answer inquiries promptly and direct calls appropriately
  • Assist with intake procedures, patient check-in/out, and updating patient information in various EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems
  • Support medical administrative functions such as filing, data entry, appointment reminders, and managing clinic schedules
  • Ensure compliance with health information management standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient data

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office support role with clinic or experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems including Greenway Intergy or eClinicalWorks
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, Medicare processes, and insurance verification procedures
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient privacy and data security
