<Responsibilities>

- Schedule appointments using various EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and assist with billing processes including medical collection activities.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including intake forms and updating medical records in systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents, reviewing documentation for completeness, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical coding tasks such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding to support billing accuracy.
- Support office management tasks including appointment scheduling, answering multi-line phone systems, and handling clerical duties like data entry and filing.
<Skills>
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance verification, and Medicare procedures.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards for health information management.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
