We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our Care Team! Full-Time shifts, 40 hours a week. As a Medical Receptionist at Hy-Vee Health Exemplar Care, you will directly and positively impact the health and well-being of our patients. You will:

• Greet patients warmly and make them feel welcome as soon as they arrive
• Answer phones with a friendly attitude, address the caller’s needs, and direct their inquiry to the appropriate team member.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring accuracy and efficient time management
• Create patient charts and collect all essential documents privacy notices, consent forms, IDs, and insurance cards
• Manage patient check- in and patient check-out
• Call and confirm patient appointments and return all other patient calls as needed
• Obtain and scan medical records, while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Keep the office clean and welcoming for all patients
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Front office medical facility experience preferred

Work Compensation

• Starting pay: $18 per hour, based upon experience

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, lower, or other movements at 25+ pounds at rare times with or without assistance.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, lower, or other movements at 10 – 25 pounds semi-often.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, lower, or other movements at 0 – 10 pounds frequently.

Environmental Requirements:

• Moderate levels of sound.
• Temperature-controlled environment.
• Regular interaction with the general public.
