Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and check them in for appointments using various Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Some appointment scheduling
- Verify insurance coverage & perform insurance eligibility checks
- Collect payments, process medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain organized medical records by filing documents properly and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including updating medical histories and explaining clinic policies clearly.
- Demonstrate proficiency with EMR systems.
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette while managing appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, and follow-up calls efficiently.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth office management and ensure high standards of customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office administrative support role; clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10-key typing).
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to review documentation meticulously while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
- Prior experience in insurance verification, medical scheduling, patient service or front desk operations is highly desirable.
