MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST / BILLER WANTED

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for EMR data entry, insurance billing, managing some front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing essential administrative support. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and familiarity with various electronic health record (EHR) systems. The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in enhancing patient experience while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage patient scheduling, including appointment confirmations and follow-ups.
• Handle medical collections and insurance verification processes efficiently.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with care plans and coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to address patient inquiries.
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and support clinic operations.

Skills

• Proficient in medical terminology and documentation practices.
• Experience with EHR systems such as Officemate/Examwriter is helpful.
• Knowledge of medical coding (ICD coding) and billing processes will also be helpful.
• Familiarity with insurance verification procedures and Medicare guidelines.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency and some typing ability.
• Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
