Medical Receptionist Call Center

Join a well-established private cardiology group with a track record of success. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our call center. This position is our first line of contact with our patients. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for taking incoming calls in a friendly and helpful manner, scheduling patient appointments and answering questions while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from appointment queue and physician’s lines.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Assist patients with their questions, document messages in EHR clearly and accurately to other staff and departments.
  • Register new patient accounts in EHR system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times in a friendly and patient manner.

​Education Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume call center.
  • Medical office experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of EHR and medical scheduling.
  • Able to work independently and set priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Finger dexterity to perform duties such as typing or writing.
  • Ability to speak and hear.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
