As a Medical Receptionist at Leven Group, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in clinic operations and patient experience. This position is critical to front-office efficiency, appointment flow, and accurate patient information management. You will balance professionalism, empathy, and operational discipline in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Answer and route phone calls, emails, and messages efficiently.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.
- Collect co-payments and process basic billing transactions when applicable.
- Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Coordinate communication between patients, clinical staff, and providers.
- Manage front-desk workflow to minimize wait times and optimize patient flow.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, and clinic policies.
- Support administrative and operational tasks as needed to keep the clinic running smoothly.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare front desk role.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn EHR systems.
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a patient-facing environment.
Preferred
- Experience with medical scheduling, insurance verification, and patient intake.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate aligned with the Puerto Rico market: $12/hour, based on experience.
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
