Medical Receptionist/Front Desk

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing essential administrative support. This role requires a blend of excellent customer service skills and familiarity with medical office procedures, including processing electronic referrals and checking insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence with professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Verify patient eligibility.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth office operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
  • Strong administrative skills with proficiency in 10 key typing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with front desk management in a healthcare setting is desirable.
