Medical Receptionist/Medical assistant / Assistant Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant/Assistant Manager to join our healthcare team. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments efficiently to ensure a smooth patient flow
  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately
  • Support clinical staff with basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, performing ICD coding, and assisting with medication administration when needed
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist with X-ray procedures or other diagnostic tests in outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Manage administrative tasks including answering phones, responding to patient inquiries, handling billing and coding processes, and maintaining organized records
  • Support emergency medicine protocols by assisting with urgent care procedures or Level I/II trauma center activities as required
  • Coordinate with physicians and specialists across departments such as dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or hospital medicine to ensure seamless patient care

Skills

  • Proven experience in a healthcare setting such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency departments; experience with Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and medical-surgical documentation practices to ensure accurate recordkeeping
  • Ability to perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, conducting intake assessments, and assisting with X-ray or other diagnostic procedures
  • Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU)
  • Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and inpatient care protocols; experience in hospital environments enhances your ability to respond effectively in critical situations
  • Effective communication skills combined with organizational abilities to support clinic operations and team collaboration
