Medical Receptionist/Sales Experience

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist with sales experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a background in sales as you would be the first contact of any client coming into the facility. This role involves managing front desk responsibilities, coordinating patient appointments, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, basic medical billing, and documentation review, while providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients professionally, answer multi-line phone systems, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with courtesy and efficiency.
  • Schedule appointments using various EMR (Electronic Medical Record) with preference to experience in Athenahealth
  • Process payments.
  • Maintain accurate medical records by reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with insurance verification, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and documentation review to support accurate billing processes.
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications to support administrative tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a medical office setting with proficiency in front desk operations and medical administrative support.
  • Prior experience in sales or comfort with learning how to present our programs
  • Knowledge of EMR systems is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), billing procedures, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and professional phone etiquette.
  • Experience with medical terminology.

Pay: $23.84 - $28.71 per hour
