Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Referral Coordinator/Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Referral Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient referrals, obtaining insurance authorizations, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients providers, and insurance companies to ensure continuity of care. This position requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities .
- Process and coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other providers
- Obtain insurance authorizations and verify eligibility/benefits
- Maintain accurate patient records and referral documentation
- Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding referral status
- Answer phone calls and assist with administrative duties as needed
- Operate multi-line phone systems to ensure effective communication.
- Maintain office management tasks, including filing, data entry, and calendar management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for enhanced communication with diverse clients.
- Spanish (preferred)
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
