Medical Refill Specialist

Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate with at least 3 years of previous experience in a clinical setting. Pharmacy Tech experience required and prior knowledge of medication names, dosages, and uses is necessary.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist providers with completing medication refills including answering patient questions, phone calls from patients, and pharmacies
• Complete proper paperwork for refills
• Learn the computer system and develop and maintain an electronic system for completion of refills
• Handle prior authorizations for refills
• Handle the patient assistance program for refills
• Maintain a well-organized process and be self-driven
