Medical Representative Riyadh KSA

Launch and establish Ego Business in Riyadh City market through introducing Ego products to business partners (physicians and Pharmacist) and act to generate the demand via medical visits to different specialties (dermatologist, pediatricians and GPs) in private and institution section and to maintain a good presence in retail outlets (pharmacies) with continuous visits to the pharmacist for educating pharmacist and implementing the trade marketing activities on retail level.

Proposing and implementing the various market activities to gain market share and support Ego presence in Riyadh area.

Will occasionally support the business being key contact point with the distributor, KOL, regulatory bodies, consumer associations, institutions and customs whenever requested.

Key objective 2

1. Be responsible for medical visits and prescription support:

Regular visits to physicians in the objective to create demand for the brand through product detailing using the prescribed USP’s and the professional selling technique.

Visit the right physician specialty mix including but not limited to dermatologist, pediatricians and GP’s.

Achieve good coverage for the country that include good time management for covering Riyadh area as well as the scattered interiors proportionate to the area potentiality.

Ensure product sufficient availability at the POS level linked to the clinic or hospital and ensure getting the orders reflecting the prescription levels.

Visiting practitioners in the institutions aiming for getting listed in this sector and to achieve spill over of prescription from the government sector to private.

Implement the requested number of high quality DGMs as indicated in the KPI.

Key objective 3

2. Responsible for Retail related activities:

Will take care of all POS related activities on three levels

supply chain: by securing the stocks and doing the orders to assure enough quantities of SKU’s at outlet level.

Merchandising: to be responsible for the look of Ego brands in the POS regarding the shelves and the stands and the different offers.

training: to make face to face field training to the staff of the POS to ensure they are aware and advise the products

Other POS activities as the incentive, offers, displays, etc

Key objective 4

3. Event implementation and sponsorships:

Assist in conducting launch event with Key customers.

Conduct the agreed on DGM’s and PGM’s.

Careful selection of customers to offer ethical support as conferences and other sponsorships that helps Ego customers in their professional practices with sensible ROI

4. Admin activities:

Ensure the double classification and segmentation of person and business accounts are updated upfront and conduct biannual updates.

Send daily call reports through the Salesforce platform, demonstrating the details and the comment of the visits.

Follow Salesforce guidelines that reflect the efficiency of the territory management.

Maintain high level of product knowledge and regular rehearsals and roleplaying.

Send the needed sales analysis reports in timely manner.

Quarterly area sales analysis presentation demonstrating the sales outcomes from the different outlets and the growth.

Attend at the arranged schedule for the office.

Efficient and rational use of the company tools, samples, premiums


Working conditions and expectations

  • Medical visits: to physicians including their pharmacy outlets for feedback and orders
  • Pharmacist visits: OTC pharmacy visits / day including (detailing, merchandising and stock management)

CAPABILITIES

SKILLS: Qualification Requirements

  • degree in pharmacy, science or a related medical field is essential.

EXPERIENCE: Depth of Industry Exposure

Experience dealing with Medical Specialists is essential (Derma,pedia)

Experience in dealing with pharmacy chains is desirable


  • Well developed networking skills – can identify and access stake holders and decision makers
  • Good communication/clarity of written and verbal expression
  • Well developed negotiation skills
  • Knows how and where to find information
  • Adheres to quadrant II time management ie Important but not Urgent
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Proactive

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Customer Complaints SOP

PHYSICAL CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS: standing for extended periods of time, driving for extended periods, climbing ladders, carrying heavy POS material, lifting up to 9kg etc.)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Passport to enable travel throughout Middle East

WORK PATTERN: Work after hours as required with Middle east time zone; some weekends, some travel for periods of up to a week; flexible arrangements available;
