Medical Scheduling Dispatcher

Overview: We are seeking a full time Medical Scheduling Dispatcher. Schedulers are in charge of assigning new patient referrals to clinical field staff (Skilled Nursing, PT, OT, etc). The position will at times necessitate communication with the field staff to accommodate patient needs and requests. This positioned is expected to be a hybrid role with 1-2 days in the office and the other days remote (during the training period expected to be all in person).

Pay Structure: Aspire is presenting the Scheduler position as an hourly position, with an hourly wage up to $25 depending on the candidate’s experience.

Requirements:

• At least two years of experience in healthcare-related work (Preferred)
• Individual with strong multi-tasking ability and excellent organizational skills
• Excellent personal demeanor and personable skills with ability to defuse conflict
• Must have availability to be on call one weekend per month for scheduling needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

General Responsibilities:

• Assignment of patient to the appropriate clinician
• Knowledge and use of google sheets spreadsheets for tracking of referral data
• Coordinate all clinical time-off requests with Director of Nursing and Director of Therapy to allow for sufficient patient coverage at all times.
• Re-assignment of staff when needed.
• Utilization of Buzz (Internal messaging system) – Communicating with staff regarding assignments, questions, changes, issues, etc.
• Utilization of CareStitch (internal scheduling / staffing tool) to assign clinicians to the patients
• Moving patients from Active to Discharged status in Kinnser (EMR) when patients are discharged from our care
• Support management team in other relevant and needed functions of corporate business
• Support other departments as needed with as needed requests
