We are searching for the best talent to fill a Medical Science Liaison Oncology role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The MSL will maximize company product value through high quality scientific communication with leading specialists on a peer to peer basis. The role includes responsibility for realizing short term and long term company goals, serving as a therapeutic area scientific expert in Genitourinary Oncology (prostate and bladder cancers), and acting as a trusted scientific counterpart.

Key Responsibilities
  • Keep abreast of medical and scientific knowledge; continuously update knowledge of products, patient treatment trends, and clinical activities within the therapeutic area in the region.
  • Develop and maintain a contact network with leading specialists, understanding their needs and key value drivers, communicating the value of company products (including formulary discussions), championing medical benefits, and representing the company within professional associations.
  • Proactively and reactively communicate medical scientific data to leading specialists and broader external audiences: provide direct and proactive scientific information of products within approved_labels, share non promotional general information about the company, and respond to unsolicited scientific queries consistent with Medical Affairs and Medical Information documents.
  • Organize and participate in medical education activities, including identifying, supporting, and educating speakers and building medical education programs with scientific third parties.
  • Organize and participate in advisory boards in cooperation with the Medical Advisor, Medical Lead, and Medical Director.
  • Provide scientific support to the Sales team: deliver medical and product training, act as a reference point for scientific queries, and coordinate with the Training Department and Medical Information as appropriate.
  • Support Medical Affairs study execution: assist with the setup and follow up of registries and other non interventional studies, propose investigators and sites for interventional and non interventional studies, participate in investigator meeting preparation and study result presentation, and review investigator proposals for IIS and discuss them within Medical Affairs.
  • Leverage insights from scientific interactions to provide input to the company's Medical Affairs Plan and business decision making.
  • Achieve main performance measures (performance goals).
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Pharmacist or Physician bachelor's degree; postgraduate studies an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company; experience as an MSL an advantage.
  • Experience in oncology an advantage.
  • Strong scientific acumen and communication skills to be accepted by leading specialists in peer to peer relationships; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Highly customer focused with an awareness of business results.
  • Innovative and able to coordinate and drive a complex and changing environment.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Flexible to travel within Saudi Arabia and willing to spend 80% of time in the field.
  • Deep knowledge of the oncology therapeutic area, with strength in research and interpretation of medical data.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and coordinate multiple projects.
Technical / Functional Skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of oncology therapeutic area.
  • Experience in coordinating and driving complex projects.
  • High customer focus and awareness of business strategy.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work in the field.
