Medical Scribe, >1 yr experience, Bachelor's degree

An exciting opportunity for a Medical Scribe to join an expanding specialized team within a large healthcare system in San Antonio, Texas. The candidate will work collaboratively with our expanding cross-functional team to coordinate care for patients with various chronic illnesses.

The ideal candidate must be highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, punctual, and efficient. Strong oral/written skills are a must. The Medical Scribe performs all clerical and information technology functions for a provider, including primary responsibility for the operation of electronic health records.

Schedule is full-time weekdays and is office-based. Candidate must be able to reliably commute to our San Antonio medical center office. Competitive pay and benefits!

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Work closely with the medical team to ensure all patient documentation is available and organized prior to patient encounter.
• Tracking and collection of data from multiple sources prior to patient encounter for nurse practitioner and/or physician assistant.
• Conduct outreach calls to other medical facilities seeking patient medical records prior to patient encounter.
• Conduct calls to patients on behalf of provider.
• Scribing for providers.
• Electronic documentation of patient encounter with provider.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a medical/science-related field (required)
• Minimum of 1 year medical scribe experience (required)
• Experience with eClinical Works and/or EPIC (highly desirable)
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) (highly desirable)
