Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will assist physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, ensuring comprehensive and precise medical records. This role is essential for streamlining clinical workflows, enhancing patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare documentation standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Prior emergency room experience and proficiency in medical transcription are highly valued. This is a paid position suitable for individuals interested in advancing their healthcare careers or gaining hands-on clinical documentation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Transcribe physician-patient interactions accurately and efficiently during medical consultations.
  • Document detailed patient histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and compliant with healthcare regulations.
  • Assist healthcare providers by managing real-time documentation to allow physicians to focus on patient care.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of medical documentation before final submission.
  • Support the clinical team with administrative tasks related to medical records management as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in medical transcription or as a Medical Scribe preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and emergency room procedures.
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems required.
  • Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed.
  • Background in medical office settings or healthcare environments is advantageous.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced clinical settings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
