Emergency Services, P.C. is happy to announce an exciting employment opportunity to become a medical scribe in the Emergency Department at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Employment Type

Part-Time, Maximum 32 Hours/Week

Qualifications

• Completed application detailing education status, availability, desire to become a medical scribe, and professional goals
• Must be at least 18
• Enrolled in college/university
• Interest in the medical field
• Must be able to commit to 2-3 shifts per week unless otherwise specified
• Must be available year-round (NOT a summer-only job)

Responsibilities

• Accompany healthcare providers into examination rooms
• Work hand-in-hand with physicians and physician assistants to document the entirety of clinical interactions
• Transcribe patient history, physical exam findings, consultations, labs, X-rays, and other evaluations as dictated by the provider into the medical record
